L'attività di ricerca della Dr.ssa De Rosa si propone di valutare se modifiche epigenetiche o trascrizionali del Foxp3, fattore specifico delle cellule T regolatorie (Treg), può compromettere la genesi e / o la funzione delle Treg, con conseguente alterazione dell'omeostasi linfocitaria e della tolleranza periferica. I suoi studi cercano di svelare i meccanismi molecolari che controllano l'espressione del Foxp3 e l'omeostasi delle Treg, offrendo dunque nuove opportunità di investigazione utili alla comprensione dei meccanismi patogenetici che caratterizzano le patologie immuno-mediate, quali autoimmunità, immunodeficienze e cancro.
