Special Issue Information Dear Colleagues, The human genome encodes 538 protein kinases that transfer a γ-phosphate group from ATP to serine, threonine, or tyrosine residues. Transferring γ-phosphate onto diverse substrates enables kinases to regulate key cellular functions.
